DDRC presents the 24th annual Inclusion Awards; supported by Global Calgary & QR Calgary - image

The Developmental Disabilities Resource Centre of Calgary is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to facilitating the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in the community in real and meaningful ways. With over 300 clients, 200 staff, and 100 sub-contractors supporting individuals in their communities, the DDRC is one of the largest service providers of its kind in Calgary. This past year, the DDRC celebrated 70 years of supporting Calgarians with developmental disabilities.

The Inclusion Awards are a celebration of diversity, achievement, and individuals who make Calgary and inclusive and welcoming place to live. Awards will recognize people with developmental disabilities, those who support their work, and individuals and businesses in our community who promote inclusion.

The Inclusion Awards is attended by 300 advocates and supporters of community inclusion. Each year, the event hosts:

  • Municipal and Provincial Government officials
    Community and business leaders
    Local media
    DDRC staff
    DDRC sponsors, donors, and supporters
    DDRC clients
Families and friends of DDRC staff and clients

Established in 1952, the DDRC provides a variety of programs and services to people with developmental disabilities and their families. We support individuals to be included in their communities in meaningful ways, including helping to secure employment, identifying and accessing local resources, and exploring community living options.
