On Thursday May 18th, we’re celebrating International Museum Day by offering “pay what you can” admission at MOV. We’ll be open 10am-8pm. This year’s theme is Museums, Sustainability and Well-being. All museums have a role to play in shaping and creating sustainable futures. Come explore our sustainably designed exhibitions and learn about green infrastructure in the exhibition That Which Sustains Us. We also invite you to spend some time to learn and reflect in the Unity Indigenous Plant Garden. In this living exhibition, located in the MOV courtyard, visitors can listen to an Indigenous Plant Guide translated into both Sḵwx̱wú7mesh sníchim and hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ languages – accessed by QR code at the entrance. We thank the Musqueam, Skwxwu7mesh and Tsleil-Waututh Nations for sharing this traditional ecological knowledge with us.
