Celebrate the anniversary of the first discovery of Scotty, the world’s largest T.rex with an afternoon of activities at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum. On August 16, 1991, school teacher Robert Gebhardt of Eastend, SK joined Royal Saskatchewan Museum palaeontologists on a prospecting expedition to the exposed bedrock along the Frenchman River Valley. That day, he discovered the base of a heavily worn tooth, and a vertebra from the tail, both suggesting that they belonged to a T. rex. 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm – Drop-in and explore fossils in the Learning Lab.
