The Hockey Marathon for the Kids is coming back in 2022 to help children with cancer.
Forty players will again challenge the Guinness World Record for the longest hockey game by hitting the ice March 31 – April 11, 2022 at the Chestermere Recreation Centre.
Organizers of the 2022 event have had a few years rest since they last took on this monumental feat – successfully breaking the world record in 2012 and 2014 while raising over $3 million in total for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. This time, players will have to skate for more than 261 consecutive hours to surpass the record set last month in Edmonton. It will be the ultimate Battle of Alberta, all to benefit kids and families in our community.
