Once we’re able to comfortably identify and harvest wild plants, we now can turn our intentions towards processing them into herbal transformations. Moving beyond the humble cup of tea, this workshop looks to explore some of the traditional methods of turning fresh wild plants into nourishing herbal remedies. By exploring different mediums of using herbs, we are able to deepen our relationship, connection and understanding of the local plants growing all around us. Using safe and easy to find kitchen food stuffs (oils, vinegar, honey and vodka) we will demonstrate the following: *How to infuse oils to create soothing balms and salves for inflamed skin and tired muscles. *How to infuse honeys to create tasty herbal treats for all ages. *How to infuse vodka to create effective (and cost efficient) tinctures. *How to infuse vinegar to add unique flavors to our food and drinks Expect to taste and sample a lot of different preparations using our own local wild crafted herbs. Each participant will take home a simple herbal salve to take home and try for themselves.
