Celebrate the second largest festival in the Chinese calendar at Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden! The 2019 Mid-Autumn Moon Festival takes place Friday, September 13 and it’s all about tea. Taste the six types of Chinese tea, enjoy mooncakes and music, and make your own lantern. Get your ‘gram on in front of a giant moon lantern, or get your photo taken in traditional Chinese dress at the Hanfu photo station. This year’s celebration will also feature a tea poetry contest and the opening of local artist Lam Wong’s year-long artist residency at the Garden. Come along with friends, family and loved ones, and fully immerse yourself in the Chinese art, culture, and history of tea that goes back over 4,000 years.
