The historical plaque unveiling at the original Zion Lutheran Church, 623 Eastlake Avenue (still used as a house), at 2:00pm, Saturday, June 29th may be of special interest.  The original Zion congregation was organized in 1919 to serve the spiritual needs of Scandinavian, particularly Norwegian, Lutheran immigrants.  Today the congregation is made up of people from many backgrounds.
