Join us on the weekend of December 8 & 9th (10am-5pm) at Boyle Street Plaza for an Indigenous and Ethnocultural arts and crafts market with food, music, dance, family activities, prizes, and holiday cheer! – Come to the market for 11 am and participate in an BINGO game to win a prize and meet new folks! – Door prizes throughout the day (prizes will be from the artisans and craftspeople)! – There will be a lunch of stew and bannock on sale – Music and dance performances throughout the day. – The Edmonton Canadian Native Friendship Centre will also be hosting craft activities for the kids with cookies from Syrian Refugee Women’s group, and fried bannock bread from Kookum’s Bannock! (Free Parking available on the street on 103a Ave or 104 Ave or heated underground parking on the West side of the building off 104 Ave for $1 per 4 hours.) The Mekiwin Indigenous Arts & Crafts Market and Intercultural Dialogues (Our McCauley) Initiative are collaborating in this special Winter Market and Gathering to create space for the many cultural communities in the area to come together in order to learn about one another, build relationships, and have fun, while promoting local craftspeople and artists.
