SnowBall Classic 2018

Vancouver, BC — If you enjoy Dancing With the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance, this October you will have a chance to experience first hand the glitz and glamour of competitive ballroom dance as the 29th Annual SnowBall Classic draws the world’s best dancers to Vancouver. One of the most prestigious dance competitions in North America, the SnowBall Classic regularly attracts couples from around the globe. This October, world ranking dancers representing countries from around the world will compete at this year’s featured event, the International Open Standard & Latin Dance Championships. The Championship features five Standard dances, including the Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, and Quickstep, and five Latin dances, the Samba, Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive. Ranging in age from 8 to 80, more than 300 local and international dancers of all levels will participate in two days of competition. The SnowBall Classic will also feature evening showcase performances highlighting individual dancers. The SnowBall Classic is hosted by DanceSport BC, a volunteer-run non-profit society. The competition will take place on October 27 and 28 at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel in Richmond. Tickets are available online at Tickets Tonight in Mid-August 2018.
