CKNW is excited to be a part of the first ever SKOOKUM Festival September 7, 8 & 9!

Where urban meets wild. Get ready for a weekend of music, creativity and culinary excellence in the heart of Vancouver’s iconic Stanley Park.

Skookum will bring together some of the best and brightest musical acts, artist installations and chefs from the Lower Mainland and around the world to Stanley Park!

Musical Acts:

SKOOKUM’S highly curated lineup blends acts you know and love with emerging performers you’ll be discovering for the first time – a spirited, eclectic menu of authentic artists from the West Coast, across Canada and around the world. From Vancouver’s forest-fringed stages in Canada’s favorite urban park to diverse and intimate After Dark events in the downtown core, get ready for a weekend of incredible music.

Art:

Get ready for a one-of-a-kind experience. We’re talking massive collaborative murals, interactive installations, innovative sculptures and communal art activities. With strong ties to the Vancouver visual arts community, SKOOKUM will illuminate and elevate local legends as well as burgeoning heroes and Indigenous creators. You won’t want to miss this expression of culture-through-art featuring the West Coast region we know and love.

Now more than ever, Vancouver has become a city of foodies – and SKOOKUM celebrates these diverse culinary offerings by highlighting our city’s favourite restaurants, accompanied by award-winning local craft breweries, winemakers, and mixologists. So, whether you’re sitting stage-side with friends enjoying a curated picnic basket, or soaking in a feast for the senses at one of our long table dinners, know that you’re in for something special.

Featuring: Restaurant Pop Ups, Long Table Dinners, Picnic Baskets from restaurants like Vij’s and Italian Kitchen.

Sustainability:

SKOOKUM is dedicated to doing its part to preserve and protect the park that hosts us, the ocean that surrounds us and the world in which we live and play. Our goal is to implement a strong and forward-thinking sustainability program in pre-production and onsite by choosing sustainably responsible products, as well as setting and implementing aggressive recycling and waste diversion practices, while challenging our sponsors and vendors to join us in our collective goal to make this world a better place. We will accomplish these goals with the support of our partnerships with Ocean Wise Life and the Stanley Park Ecology Society, along with your participation as a SKOOKUM festival-goer.
