Metis Youth (MY) Amazing Race

Vernon & District Metis Association Youth is proud to announce a Youth contest- MY Amazing Race! This will be a local contest designed to encourage Indigenous Youth age 30 years or younger from Vernon and surrounding areas to practice Metis culture, engage with the Metis community, and keep active while completing various culturally-based tasks. The journey will be interactive, fun and educational! Contest judges will release “clues” to all contestants at set intervals with information on the task requirements and timeline for submission. Contestants will be asked to send their responses as either written submissions, photos, or videos via email to the contest judges within the provided timeline. Points will be awarded to contestants who complete each task on time. Culture and creativity will be encouraged at every turn as bonus points will be awarded along the way! The contestant who accumulates the most points will win the race. Contest judges will announce and notify the winner at an end-of-contest celebration for all contestants (date TBA).
