Calvin Vollrath is an Alberta-born, world-renowned fiddler. After picking up the instrument at age eight, Vollrath became a musical prodigy. He won two Grand North American Fiddle Championships and was inducted into the North American Fiddlers’ Hall of Fame. His songs, many played in the Métis style, range from high-speed jigs and shimmering waltzes to slow, beautiful numbers. Alone onstage, Vollrath captivates an audience with the ease of a true virtuoso.
