The Multiple Myeloma March is the signature annual national fundraising event that exclusively supports the Canadian myeloma community. Each year, communities across Canada, including the BC Southern Interior, rally together for a 5km walk to raise funds for advancing Canadian myeloma research, including research done here in BC, supporting access to new therapies and funding programs to improve the lives of myeloma patients and their caregivers. Multiple Myeloma is an incurable, but increasingly treatable cancer of the plasma cells in the bone marrow. The second most common blood cancer after non-Hodgkins lymphoma, multiple myeloma affects over 8,000 Canadians annually.
