Join CKNW for the Parkinson SuperWalk 2018! Canada’s only nationwide fundraiser in support of Canadians living with Parkinson’s. Join us this September as part of a cross-Canada movement of communities committed to changing the course of Parkinson’s in Canada. Commit to join 10,000 participants bonded together by their vision of a world without Parkinson’s.
Parkinson Society British Columbia’s largest fundraising event of the year, Parkinson SuperWalk! On the weekend of September 8 and 9, 15 and 22 incredible British Columbians in over 24 communities throughout the province will walk together to help give hope to approximately 13,000 people in BC living with Parkinson’s.
Funds raised in BC through this event help to provide valuable support services and education offered by Parkinson Society British Columbia in BC as well as fund national research efforts.
Every person touched by Parkinson’s deserves to know that they are not alone in their journey. Parkinson Society British Columbia (PSBC) is there for those in need. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is committed to offering support, sharing reliable information and raising funds for essential programs and research.
Parkinson Society British Columbia also aims to be an effective lobbyist for issues important to the Parkinson’s community. Our four-point advocacy plan’s goal is to improve care and access to critical support services for people with Parkinson’s disease.
The Society is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors, receives no government funding and is supported entirely by donations from individuals, members, corporations, foundations and the dedicated efforts of our volunteers.
We are part of a strong community united in our dedication to improve the lives of those affected by Parkinson’s. Please join us for Parkinson SuperWalk this fall in over 20 communities across the province.
