Free Our Finest: Alberta Law Enforcement Torch Run in Support of Special Olympics Alberta

Cabela’s Alberta Locations are proud to host the 2017 Free Our Finest: Alberta Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) event supporting Alberta’s Special Olympics. From Friday, June 16th to Sunday, June 18th LETR will hold their annual fundraising event coinciding with Cabela’s Hometown Heroes. Members from Alberta’s law enforcement agencies will stay atop the roof of the Cabela’s Edmonton South location from 11:00 AM Friday morning until Sunday at 4:00 PM all to raise funds for Special Olympics Alberta. The Free Our Finest event reverses roles where the public must free officers from the ‘rooftop’. Hang out with law enforcement agency representatives and Special Olympic Athletes while taking in interactive displays and activities. LETR shirts and other merchandise will also be on hand for purchase with all proceeds going to Special Olympics Alberta. Law enforcement and emergency services branches and agencies scheduled to appear at Cabela’s Edmonton South include: • Edmonton Police Service – Honour Guard, K9 Unit, DEOPS Command Center and Bomb Disposal Unit • Edmonton Fire Rescue Service • Royal Canadian Mounted Police • Alberta Fish and Wildlife Enforcement • Alberta Health Services EMS • Alberta Correctional Services • Alberta Sheriffs • Edmonton Regional Search and Rescue Association • Alberta Parks Conservation Officers • Strathcona Peace officers • Search and Rescue Dog Association of Alberta • Correctional Service of Canada *Agency/Branch appearance dates and times will vary.
