My name is Laura Fyfe and I am the Director of Fundraising for Boxer Rescue Ontario. We are a charitable, non-profit organization comprising of over 250 volunteers in the province, dedicated to placing abandoned, surrendered, injured and even lost dogs in loving homes throughout Ontario. We are a fully registered charitable organization, which has been operating since the year 2000. We work with many other rescue groups, shelters, veterinarians, breeders and the public to promote responsible pet ownership in and around Ontario. Over this span, I have witnessed many atrocities that should never happen to any animal. Each dog that comes in through our doors is vetted and assessed before being placed up for adoption. Vetting is a very expensive component of rescue. Each dog averages anywhere from $400.00 up to $1,500.00 in veterinarian bills. 100% of the funds we raise at this event will go towards the vetting and care of the boxers.
