Join Jon Claytor for the Saskatoon launch of his book, Nowhere (Goose Lane Editions). This event will be held in the Travel Alcove and as a simultaneous YouTube livestream. Drawn by a mysterious force, 12-year-old Joel and his parents have just arrived in yet another nondescript small town. Just as Joel begins to settle in, a giant cube appears on the edge of town and Beauséjour is beset by nightly appearances of zombies, demon landlords, therapy seeking vampires, and depressed clowns. When citizens begin vanishing, his parents among them, Joel and his friend Charlie seek shelter from the strangeness surrounding them. A hilarious and sinister reflection on growing up in a world where monsters are real, Nowhere is a dreamlike meditation on adolescence and the absurdity of small-town life.
