From June 24th-28th, WSO musicians will be popping up across the city in small ensembles for casual, outdoor performances.
Symphony in the City Events:
• Hargrave Street Market Plaza – 242 Hargrave St Wednesday, June 24 | 12:00 PM – Performance by a WSO Wind Quintet
• Transcona Centennial Square – 135 Regent Ave W Thursday, June 25 | 11:30 AM – Performance by a WSO String Septet
• Downtown Winnipeg BIZ Farmers Market – 429-375 Graham Ave (along Graham) Thursday, June 25 | 12:30 PM – Performance by a WSO Brass Quartet
• Devil May Care Brewing Company – 155-A Fort St Friday, June 26| 7:00 PM – Performance from NeWSOunds, a unique group of WSO Musicians playing an eclectic fusion of classical, bluegrass and folk music.
• St Norbert Farmers’ Market – 3514 Pembina Hwy Saturday, June 27 | 10:00 AM – Performance by a WSO String Duo
• Small Mercies Courtyard (Osborne Village) – 111 Osborne St Saturday, June 27 | 12:00 PM – Performance by Lyra Borealis, a unique Flute and Harp duo comprised of WSO Musicians
• The Beer Can – 1 Granite Way Sunday, June 28 | 2:00 PM – Performance by a WSO Brass Quartet Admission is free. Bring a friend, grab a coffee or a drink, and enjoy live music in your neighbourhood.
