In honour of the 30th anniversary of Jesse’s Journey (now
Defeat Duchenne Canada), London’s hometown hero John Davidson will once again take to
the road in a moving tribute to his late son, Jesse, and to all Canadian families affected by
Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

On Tuesday, June 10, John will walk 30 kilometres from the Jumbo the Elephant Monument
in St. Thomas to Victoria Park in London, retracing the historic route he and Jesse completed
in 1995. This special one-day walk commemorates three decades since the start of a national
movement that has since raised nearly $19 million for research, driving closer to a future
where Duchenne is preventable, treatable, and one day, curable.

“To celebrate that special summer and our 124 days together on the road, I’m going to see
the road again,” says John Davidson. “It’s no secret that I’ll be 30 years older and won’t have
Jesse with me. But I’ll know he’s there.”
