October 17 is the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. To draw attention to the issue of poverty in Calgary, Vibrant Communities Calgary (VCC) is hosting Zine Fest 2024—a showcase of art for social change. As the stewards of Calgary’s community-driven poverty reduction strategy, Enough for All, VCC has been hosting zine-making workshops across Calgary to drive attention to and engagement with poverty-reduction work in our city. Zines collected at these workshops will be part of the Enough for All Community Zine Mural, alongside an audio play, a make-the-month snakes and ladders game, photo wall, kindness tree, and more.  Take in performances by local artists, including Luke Little Chief, Sage Cannon and the University of Calgary Drama Department, ZENON, and Erin Dingle, make your own zine, and engage with like-minded individuals on building a future where there is enough for all.
