A Fracking the Peace documentary film screening and panel discussion will take place on Thursday, June 13, at the Vernon Public Library on 30th Avenue.

It is free to attend, with doors opening at 6 p.m.

Fracking the Peace is a powerful documentary by Stand.earth, and follows community members living on Treaty 8 territory in northeastern B.C.

The film tells the story of how fracking has impacted their lives, water and the land.

Jason Hjalmarson, an outreach canvass organizer, and Cedar George-Parker, a campaign assistant, both of the Wilderness Committee, will lead a panel discussion, along with Janet Parkins of Frack Free BC, Vernon-Monashee Chapter.
