Global Edmonton supports – 28th Annual Esquao Awards Gala

The Esquao Awards recognize the achievements and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit women from across Alberta and raise awareness about the challenges and obstacles they face.

A commitment to the arts, business, culture, community involvement, children’s futures, education, health and medicine, and justice and human rights are just some of the themes being celebrated as 18 Indigenous women are honoured at the 28th annual Esquao Awards—including this year’s Muriel Stanley Venne Leadership Award recipient Brenda Blyan, who will be welcomed into the Circle of Honour.

Honour these change-makers doing extraordinary work in their communities on Friday, May 3, 2024, from noon to 4:00 pm at the Edmonton EXPO Centre.
