Eric Lestar was sentenced to four years and three months in prison, and banned from driving for five years, after he drove drunk and caused a crash that killed 50-year-old Joann Christou in north Edmonton last year.

Eric Lestar, 21, pleaded guilty to impaired driving causing death in a collision last year which left Joann Christou, a 50-year-old mother and wife, dead in north Edmonton. 

Edmonton police will be shutting down part of 97 Street at 160 Avenue for several hours on Thursday to investigate a collision that killed a woman in October.
