Canadian Birkebeiner – February 10 – 11

Silver Skate Festival – February 10 – 20

The Silver Skate Festival takes over Hawrelak Park for 10 days every February transforming Edmonton’s river valley into a winter wonderland. Festival goers can discover snow sculptures, winter sports, horse-drawn sleigh rides as well as live music and theatrical performances. There’s something for everyone! Opera NUOVA Presents Essgee’s HMS Pinafore – February 22 – 26

Opera Nuova presents Essgee’s HMS Pinafore, an updated Gilbert and Sullivan production for the 21st century. Ford World Men’s Curling Championship – April 1 – 9

Live it live and cheer on team Canada as they compete to be the best men’s curling team in the world. Not only is there a world title up for grabs in our home city, it’s the final event for countries to earn qualifying points to be part of 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. Alberta Business Hall of Fame – May 3

The Alberta Business Hall of Fame identifies and chronicles the lives of great Alberta men and women whose business leadership and community stewardship shaped the ways that people live, work, and interact.
