GLOBAL WINNIPEG FUN2B40 CONTEST RULES
The following are the rules (“Rules”) for the Global Winnipeg Fun2B40 Contest (the “Contest”) being administered by Shaw Television Limited Partnership (“Shaw”).
1. ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the Contest, entrants must be legal residents of the province of Manitoba and be the age of majority or older at the time of entry. Employees of Shaw and its affiliates, subsidiaries, related companies, advertising and promotional agencies and the household members of any of the above, are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
2. CONTEST PERIOD
Entries must be submitted on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 between 6:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time (“CDT”) and 6:30 p.m. CDT (the “Contest Period”) after which time no further entries will be considered.
3. HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter, entrants must complete and submit a contest entry form found online at http://globalnews.ca/winnipeg/contests during the Contest Period. Entrants must include a correct code word (the “Code Word”) with their entry in order to be eligible.

Limit of one (1) entry per person during the Contest Period.
Entries received online shall be deemed to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the entry. For the purpose of the Contest Rules, “authorized account holder” of an e-mail address is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Any entrant may be required to provide Shaw with proof that they are the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with their entry.
4. PRIZES
There are forty (40) prizes (each a “Prize” and collectively the “Prizes”) available to be won, each of which consists of a Visa Gift Card in the amount of one hundred Canadian dollars (CDN $100.00).
The Prizes are not transferable and not redeemable for cash, will not be extended under any circumstances and must be accepted as offered without substitution.
Once a winner has been successfully contacted and notified of his/her Prize and fulfilled the requirements set out herein, they may claim their Prize in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the Global Winnipeg headquarters located at 201 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, Monday – Friday during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.). Prizes must be claimed within thirty (30) days of the winner being notified of his/her Prize. Should a winner be unable to claim the Prize, the Prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner. Shaw shall not assume any liability for lost, damaged or misdirected Prizes.
5. SELECTION OF WINNERS
At 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, forty (40) entrants will be selected by a random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period and each hour, starting at 6:40 p.m. and ending at 9:40 p.m., ten (10) potential winners’ names will be posted on the Global Winnipeg Facebook page each hour. The potential winners will be notified by e-mail no later than 5:00 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 and must respond to the notification within three (3) business days. If a selected potential winner does not respond in the allotted time, another potential winner may be selected at Shaw’s sole discretion. The odds of being selected as a potential winner are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received.
6. RELEASE
Winners may be required to execute a winner release form (“Release”), as determined by Shaw in its sole discretion, that confirms winner’s: (i) eligibility for the Contest; (ii) acceptance of the Prize as offered; (iii) release of Shaw, Facebook, and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and/or related companies and each of their employees, directors, officers, suppliers, agents, sponsors, administrators, licensees, representatives, advertising, media buying and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in the Contest or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the Prize, including but not limited to costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising therefrom; and (iv) grants to Shaw of the unrestricted right, in Shaw’s sole discretion, to produce, reproduce, publish, broadcast, communicate by telecommunication, exhibit, distribute, adapt and otherwise use or re-use the winner’s name, photograph, likeness, voice and biography, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in connection with the Contest and the promotion and exploitation thereof. The executed Release must be returned within two (2) business days of the date indicated on the accompanying letter of notification or the verification as a winner or the selected entrant will be disqualified and the Prize forfeited.
7. INDEMNIFICATION BY ENTRANT
By entering the Contest, each entrant releases and holds Shaw harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrant or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from: (a) participation in the Contest or any Contest-related activity; (b) the acceptance, use, or misuse of a Prize; or (c) any breach of the Rules. Each entrant agrees to fully indemnify Shaw from any and all claims by third parties relating to the entrant’s participation in the Contest, without limitation.
8. GENERAL
By participating in the Contest, you agree to abide by these Rules and the decisions of Shaw which shall be final and binding in all respects. Entrants who have not complied with these Rules are subject to disqualification.
Notwithstanding the defined Contest Period, Shaw reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate the Contest, in whole or part, and/or modify, amend or suspend the Contest, and/or these Rules in any way, at any time, for any reason without prior notice.
Personal information collected during the course of the Contest shall be used by Shaw and its authorized representatives solely for the purposes of conducting the Contest and awarding Prizes, and will not be used or disclosed for any other purpose unless required by law. Shaw will use the entrant’s personal information only for identified purposes, and protect the entrant’s Personal Information in a manner that is consistent with Shaw’s Privacy Policy at: http://www.shawmedia.ca/privacy.asp.
By participating in the Contest, the winners agree that his/her name may be used in any and all forms of media, without any further compensation by Shaw and waives all rights (including moral rights) with respect to printed, broadcast and other forms of publicity.
The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by Facebook and any personal information provided by an entrant is being provided to Shaw and not Facebook. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest must be directed to Shaw.
The Contest is subject to all applicable laws of the province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
