A New Zealand-based wildlife photographer has built a remote controlled buggy to photograph a pride of lions in Botswana.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Chris McLennan built “Car L” – a modified 4×4 buggy, rigged with a Nikon camera and a built-in remote control – to capture close-ups of lions in Botswana’s Khwai region.

The buggy captured detailed photographs of the pride at a distance closer than most photographers would dare to get.
