Byelection 2013 results: Toronto-Centre, Bourassa, Brandon-Souris and Provencher

OTTAWA – The Liberals and Conservatives each won two federal byelections with the Brandon-Souris race coming down to the very last votes.

Conservative candidate Larry Maguire beat out Liberal contender Rolf Dinsdale by just 391 votes in Brandon-Souris and Tory candidate Ted Falk won in the other Manitoba byelection in Provencher.

The Liberals won in Quebec and Toronto with  Emmanuel Dubourg winning in the Bourassa riding of Montreal and in the Toronto-Centre riding Liberal candidate Chrystia Freeland defeated NDP candidate Linda McQuaig.

Both Liberal leader Justin Trudeau and Prime Minister Stephen Harper have waded into the Brandon race, with Trudeau appearing three times and Harper writing a letter to voters bashing Trudeau’s crime policies and his plan to legalize marijuana.
