WINNIPEG – Police are keeping tight-lipped about a bloody homicide that happened on Friday night.
Officers and emergency crews responded after they were called about an assault at an apartment block in the 2100 block of Portage Avenue.
Three people were taken to hospital. A 39-year-old man later died from his injuries, the city’s 23rd homicide of the year.
A witness who lives in the apartment block said there was a man screaming for help inside the building.
A source told Global News a woman was arrested.
Police would not say on Sunday whether anyone has been arrested in connection with the homicide.
