Springbank residents get sneak-peek of new mega mall

CALGARY- Those who live west of the city are learning more about a major development planned in the Springbank area.

Riocan and Tanger plan to built an outlet mall at the Edge School near Calaway Park, called Tanger Outlets at Calaway Park. The project will see them bring in high-end retailers and provide a pedestrian-friendly atmosphere with multiple, stand-alone buildings.

There will also be landscaping, lighting and plazas, all sheltered from the outdoors.

On Wednesday night, those who live in the area were invited to a community meeting to learn more about the 350,000 square foot project.
