TORONTO – Toronto Mayor Rob Ford made headlines internationally moments after he said he tried crack cocaine while in a “drunken stupor.”

The news was splashed across major media websites.

“Toronto Mayor admits to smoking crack,” read a headline on the BBC’s front page.

“Toronto Mayor Ford admits crack cocaine use, mistakes ‘in past’,” read one featured in CNN’s top news of the day.
