TORONTO — A pair of Degrassi stars have started work on Hellions, a new thriller by director Bruce McDonald.

Chloe Rose and Luke Bilyk play a couple in the Canadian indie film, which was written by Pascal Trottier (The Colony).

Rose is Dora Vogel, a pregnant teen at a Halloween party who is terrorized by a group of masked demonic children.

Rose, 19, has played Katie Matlin on Degrassi: The Next Generation since 2011 and appeared in last year’s feature film The Lesser Blessed.

Bilyk, who turns 19 on Nov. 10, has portrayed Drew Torres on the popular youth series since 2010.

McDonald, whose films include 1996’s Hard Core Logo, has directed more than a dozen episodes of Degrassi.

Hellions also stars Robert Patrick (Terminator II: Judgment Day), Ottawa-born Rachel Wilson (Bomb Girls, Republic of Doyle) and Vancouver’s Rossif Sutherland (Reign).
