Video: Storm rips scaffolding off five-storey Danish office building

A savage coastal storm powered by hurricane-force gusts slashed its way through Britain and western Europe on Monday.

In Copenhagen, Martin Wiinholt filmed scaffolding being completely blown off his five-storey office building by the high winds.

The Danish capital saw record gusts of up to 194 kph. Like Britain, Denmark saw trains and ferries cancelled.

Copenhagen’s Kastrup Airport saw delays as strong gusts prevented passengers from using boarding bridges to disembark from planes to the terminals.

Winds blew off roofs, and one man was reported killed when a flying brick hit him in the head.
