Vancouver Police are proposing a two day suspension for the constable who pushed a woman with cerebral palsy to the ground on the Downtown Eastside.

The incident happened in June 2010 and was caught on tape and posted to YouTube.

Sandy Davidsen was walking past three officers when Constable Taylor Robinson shoved her.

Robinson initially claimed Davidsen was grabbing at his gun.

Vancouver Police gave the officer a one-day suspension, but the Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner ruled that wasn’t enough. Now a two-day suspension is being considered.

Pivot Legal Society is considering asking for a public hearing.
