TORONTO — Reality show star Kim Kardashian celebrated her 33rd birthday Monday night by getting engaged to her boyfriend, rapper Kanye West.
According to TMZ, West flew Kardashian to San Francisco and whisked her blindfolded to AT&T Park, where an orchestra on the field played Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful” and West’s “Knock You Down.”
Behind the orchestra, a video screen read: “Pleeese Marry Meee!!!”
According to various reports, the rapper got down on one knee in the middle of the field and proposed to Kardashian with a 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring.
The happy couple was then joined on the field by family members and friends as fireworks exploded overhead.
Kardashian’s sister Khloe later tweeted: “Tears of JOY!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!”
Mom Kris Jenner, who recently split from Bruce Jenner, told E! News it was “a match made in heaven!”
West, 36, and Kardashian have been dating for a little more than 18 months and welcomed daughter North in June.
It will be the first wedding for West, who was previously engaged to designer Alexis Phifer and the third for Kardashian. Her 2011 marriage to basketball pro Kris Humphries lasted 72 days and her first marriage to music producer Damon Thomas ended in 2004.
