The body of missing man Cory Fergus from Tsawwassen has now been found.
Fergus was reported missing on October 8, but was last seen October 7 at about 5:30 p.m. He left a friend’s home in Tsawwassen and was believed to be heading to the Centennial Beach area of Tsawwassen to take his boat out and retrieve his crab traps.
Delta Police did find his unoccupied vehicle parked at the boat ramp at Centennial Beach.
On October 15 they were notified of a recovery of an adult male body off the coast of B.C. in U.S. waters. Delta Police, along with the Canadian Coast Guard, attended via hovercraft and recovered the body, now confirmed to be Fergus, 43.
Police do not suspect foul play at this time, however police will work with the coroner to determine cause of death.
Delta Police have notified the next of kin.
