Pregnant Fort St. John woman missing more than three years, police say possible homicide

28-year-old Abigail Andrews has been missing for more than three years. She was three months pregnant when she disappeared from Fort St. John on April 7, 2010, and despite extensive search efforts she has not been found.

RCMP have now released a video re-enactment in the hopes of garnering new tips that could lead to clues about what happened and bring closure to Abigail’s family.

In the video, her mother Debbie says her daughter would phone her almost every day and it was really out of character for her to just take off.

Her father says she was looking forward to being a mother.

“She was very excited about getting all this baby stuff. We went out and got a high chair, a stroller, a playpen, teddy bears, clothes,” he says in the video.

Abigail’s disappearance has been treated as a possible homicide, and police have identified a suspect. They are now asking for the public’s assistance as investigators believe that there are individuals out there who may have some information that could lead to the arrest of the person responsible for harming Abigail and her unborn child.

Abigail is described as 6 ft tall, 200 pounds, with long dark brown hair and hazel eyes. She has a tattoo of tribal artwork on her lower back. At the time of her disappearance, Abigail was believed to be wearing black pants, a white shirt with a dark blue or black vest and jacket.

“For us, she was our daughter, she was a person, she has value to us and to other people, and we would like to know what has happened to her,” says Debbie.
