Nine-year-old boy taken to hospital after hit-and-run in Yaletown

A nine-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after he was struck in an accident Sunday afternoon in Yaletown.

Transit Police say just after 1 p.m., a Nissan SUV and an Audi collided at the intersection of Davie and Pacific.

The Nissan SUV ended up on the sidewalk, and hit two nine-year-old boys.

Police say about 15 bystanders worked to get the SUV off the boy, who was pinned underneath.

One of the boys was taken to hospital with broken bones and head injuries. He is in stable condition.

The second boy was uninjured.

Police were looking for the female driver of the Audi, but she has since been located.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to hospital.
