TORONTO – A Markham firefighter has died of his injuries after he was attacked at a Toronto bar over the weekend.
Police say 45-year-old Dominic Parker was at the Rotana Café early Saturday morning at Danforth and Coxwell when he was stabbed multiple times in the face and head.
Investigators believe the attack was unprovoked.
The off duty firefighter was rushed to hospital in life threatening condition.
He never regained consciousness and passed away on Monday.
The suspect took off, but was arrested on Saturday afternoon in Scarborough.
Nabil Huruy, 23, is facing a first degree murder charge.
