WARMAN, Sask. – An attempted murder charge has been laid against a boy after a 13-year-old girl was stabbed in Warman, Sask. on Friday night.
Around 10 p.m., RCMP were called to a stabbing in the city north of Saskatoon and found the girl suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was taken to hospital and is in stable condition.
Mounties located a 13-year-old male suspect and took him into custody.
RCMP say the youth are known to each other and the incident occurred in the victim’s home.
Both the suspect and the victim’s identities cannot be released due to the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The accused is expected to make his first court appearance on Monday.
