TORONTO – Charges have been dropped against a woman accused of throwing a cup of juice at Toronto Mayor Rob Ford at a street festival this summer.

The Crown dropped all charges against Shannon Everett, 27, in court on Friday.

The multimedia developer and yoga teacher had been charged with assault after an incident on June 15 during the city’s Taste of Little Italy Festival.

Ford had been posing for photos and shaking hands at the time.

Everett said outside the courthouse that she did not throw a drink in anyone’s face and never would.
