City crews are still chasing down rubber ducks after they made an escape on the Assiniboine River on Saturday.
More than 13,000 ducks floated along the river yesterday as part of a fundraising event for the Assiniboine Park Conservancy.
An oil boom used to catch the ducks at the finish line didn’t hold and sent thousands of the ducks down stream.
The Assiniboine Park says plans are in place to catch the rest of the remaining ducks throughout the week.
Officials from the park ask that if you do see any ducks along the shoreline, call 204-793-4316 to have them collected.
Anyone who has collected any of the rubber ducks is asked to return them to the Assiniboine Park Conservancy.
