WINNIPEG — An elderly woman is dead and a Winnipeg man is behind bars facing numerous impaired driving charges after a seven-vehicle crash Saturday night.
Emergency crews were called to McPhillips Street and William Avenue just after 5 p.m.
A pickup truck was speeding down McPhillips when it collided with a car turning onto William, police said.
The truck then crashed into two other vehicles.
Three cars in a nearby rental parking lot were also damaged.

Several people were taken to hospital. A 71-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries.
Adam Quinn Langan, 29, was arrested at the scene and remains in custody.
