NEW GLASGOW, N.S. – A head-on collision in Nova Scotia’s Pictou County has claimed the life of a woman.
RCMP say the crash happened on Highway 104 near Broadway shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say a car travelling westbound with three female occupants collided with a pickup traveling eastbound.
One of the occupants of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and another was taken by helicopter to a Halifax hospital.
The third person in the car was taken to Aberdeen Regional Hospital in New Glasgow.
The two occupants of the truck were taken to the same hospital, but the extent of their injuries was unclear.
