Two males are in hospital after a double shooting Friday afternoon, Surrey RCMP have confirmed.
Mounties said they received reports of gunfire being exchanged between two cars in the 5800-block of 126th Street at around 2:45 p.m.
Two males arrived at a Surrey hospital shortly after with gunshot wounds, police said.
One of the males is in critical condition and is currently in surgery. The other suffered minor injuries.
Mounties said they are looking for two vehicles, a gold car and a dark-coloured minivan.
There was a heavy police presence at SurreyMemorialHospital following the incident, but police would not confirm where the victims were being treated.
No bystanders along the street or in nearby homes were hurt.
Police are concerned about the incident, saying the shooting happened in broad daylight in a residential neighbourhood.
They are calling the shooting brazen, saying it has all the hallmarks of a targetted attack.
