More than 20 firefighters and at least two air tankers have spent the day battling a brush fire near Cultus Lake.
The blaze, burning on the west side of the lake near Lindell Road, is about a hectare in size. Firefighters did manage to get most of it under control before it got out of hand.
Metro Vancouver has raised the fire danger rating from moderate to high.
Officials are hoping people will be extra careful and not spark any new fires.
