Thieves take mascot from children’s festival

Winnipeg police are looking for help finding a stolen mascot uniform.

The dinosaur-themed outfit belongs to the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre in Morden. It was stolen from the Forks in Winnipeg between June 8th and 9th when the Fossil Discovery Centre was operating an activity tent at the Winnipeg International Childrens Festival (Kids Fest).

The head of the costume is made to resemble the centre’s main attraction, a prehistoric Mosasaur. The jersey has ‘Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre’ on the front and ‘74’ on the back.
