TORONTO – Leslie Roberts, anchor of Global Toronto’s News Hour, is the new permanent host of the national edition of The Morning Show.
At press conference Wednesday, Global announced the veteran journalist will join Liza Fromer, Kris Reyes and Rosey Edeh weekdays from 9 to 9:30 a.m. beginning June 17.

“He is a great conversationalist and is well-versed on everything from politics to pop culture,” said Troy Reeb, senior vice president of Global News. “Leslie’s chemistry with the rest of The Morning Show team throughout his guest host appearances has been outstanding.”
Roberts will remain at News Hour with Anne Mroczkowski but will pass News Final duties on to Carolyn MacKenzie.
