The thriller is described by Variety as “a ghost story and an attack on the celebrity-obsessed society.”

Pattinson was in Toronto during the summer of 2011 to film Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis, which earned only $6 million at the box office last year. The Twilight movies, which made Pattinson famous, have grossed more than $3.3 billion worldwide.

The actor, who turns 27 this month, is currently shooting Mission: Blacklist.
