TORONTO – Officers will be out in full force this week promoting safe cycling awareness and education.
The week-long “Cycle Safe” campaign gets underway Monday morning with officers paying particular attention to motorists whose actions endanger the lives of cyclists.
“Drivers failing to proceed through turns safely, opening vehicle doors improperly, and driving in designated bike lanes, all contribute to reduced cycling safety,” according Toronto Police.
Officers will also pay attention to cyclists that commit offences.
