MONTREAL – Two people died on their way to the Montreal Casino after their car spun out of control and flipped over after exiting the Concorde Bridge just before 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The driver lost control of the wheel after turning onto Pierre Dupuy St., Montreal police spokesperson Anie Lemieux confirmed.
“It was a spectacular accident,” she said.
The small white compact apparently spun through the air several times before finally stopping just outside the casino.
Both the driver and passenger were declared dead at the scene. Police have identified the victims as a 77-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman.
